Available Help Functions
Presently, StarOffice provides two complete context-sensitive help functions
for your use. The "ACTIVE HELP" and "TIP" functions give you exactly the
information you need depending on the particular circumstances relevant to
where you are in the program. and what tasks are being carried out. To take
advantage of the help functions, engage the respective functions by clicking
the corresponding commands in the HELP menu.
The "Tip" Help Function
If you want to receive specific information regarding the function of a symbol
or a dialog, simply rest your mouse pointer on the respective symbol or menu
entry, press the right mouse button, and a brief help text will be displayed.
Naturally, this function is available for many dialog areas as well.
The "Active Help" Function
Additionally, the Active Help provides short and precise help texts, giving an
explanation of the respective function. If this function is off , simply press
the right mouse button in your current position to see the corresponding
explanation. If you have switched the Active Help function on in the Help
menu, a help text appears when you rest your mouse pointer on the respective
symbol or dialog element.
